Note: This is NOT a remote start. This kit is for vehicles WITH power locks but WITHOUT factory keyless entry. Meaning you have to manually lock/unlock your truck by putting the key in the door to unlock and don't have remotes.

Install is simple 2 t-harness connections done at the driver underdash area. Only 1 optional wire to hook up for horn honk honk / panic function.

Easy installation !! Works as advertised!

So Easy

The install took all of 20 minutes. The hardest part was getting the kick plate back on and that took about five minutes to line the plastic clips to their designated holes. The kit includes everything you need except for the 10mm socket needed for the bolt.

This is a must have for 3rd Gen SR access cab

I received the kit today and installed in less than an hour. Absolutely love it! It's truly plug-n-play. Very easy to install with no wires to splice. I would make one small change in the installation process. Instead of pulling loose the kick panel and partially removing the lower dash, simply remove the lower dash switch panel. That gives you direct access to the BCM plug.

Nice to finally have keyless entry

For anyone who purchased a 3rd Gen Base Tacoma SR Access Cab, this product gets rid of the constant frustration of having to use your key to open doors from only the drivers side. This kit was very simple to install if you are relatively handy. Soldering the horn honk wire was not much of an issue, plenty of room. I just installed this keyless entry kit today and it seems to work well. I hope it is robust and durable. This appears to be much easier to install than the remote start kit. If you are only interested in having the keyless entry that didn't come with your Base Tacoma, this appears to be a great kit to achieve that goal.
