Remote Start Operation

Operating your remote start is easy. From your factory remote fob press the lock button 3 times to activate the remote start. The parking lights will flash and the vehicle will start and run for the preset time typically 15 minutes. Pressing the lock button 3 more times will shut the vehicle off. Be sure not to press the lock button too fast or too slow the timing may take a few tries to get used to. When approaching the vehicle simple unlock/open the door. The vehicle will shutdown and you are ready to jump in restart and go!

Work Well Don't Like The App

I speant more time removing the vehicle panels and glove box than I speant installing and programming the module. I do not like the app just seams cheap. I would like to be able to remove the CarLink logo and edit the background image. Aside from that it works really well and I am glad to have the added functionality and convenience. This is just from one day of use; I'll edit this review should things change.

Great! Update install videos for ‘23s

I bought the base model. I love it. Newer Toyota driver so the auto shut off feature across their line up took some getting used to coming from GM. Since having the base model I wish I’d have gone with the app controlled module. The range on the Toyota fob is pretty terrible. But I also don’t want another thing on my key ring. So the app would be where it’s at.

Install: I’m sure the times suggested were for people who know how to take off their dash … well remove a couple panels. I followed a YouTube video on how to do it. From start to finish took me about three hours. Then again I went painfully slow with my nylon pry tool screwdriver and socket. Hardest part is on the passenger side getting to the plugs you need behind the glove box. Also. The video needs to be updated because on the 23 models of 4Runner the wiring is slightly different and you might not need to plug something in. It was a little confusing but I called and got it figured out. The tech on the phone was very friendly and helpful. He knew exactly what I was looking at and what was different on my year model.

I’ve reached out to them about being able to buy just the module for the app to swap with the base module. I hope to be able to do that. Either way I’m going to be making a YouTube review on my whole 4Runner TRD off-road premium with my upgrades added. This is one of the star features I’ve added. I love it but want just a little more with the app.

Great Product

Installed it on my 2022 4Runner and the install was easy! Even with having to splice wires and take my dash apart, It took me less than an hour and have had no issues with it at all! My husband is already jealous and asking when I'll buy one for his truck!

Easy install

Just installed this on a 2023 and it was super easy to install. It was truly plug and play and no need to cut or splice into wires. Installed in about an hour but most of that time was to take the dash apart and put it back together. Great product and will be buying another one to put in the Tacoma!
