Our Subaru BRZ remote starter kit is 100% plug & play on most trim levels! Keep your vehicle warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Installation is simple and takes most consumers less than an hour. Our remote system interfaces with a t-harness at the driver underdash and few more behind the glovebox. Simply unplug the OEM connectors, plug our connectors inline and then plug the OEM plug into the other end of our t-harnesses. No dealer visit or scantool necessary. Includes long range 1-button remotes.

Installation Overview

Simple installation full plug and play!

Please note this installation requires a 2-part programming procedure with copying technology. This means you need to install the module, learn the vehicle, and then remove the module and send it back to us for processing. Use the included prepaid return label (excluding Canada) to send the module to us. We will process the module and then send it back to you to complete the installation. Simple!

Pretty easy

The installation process took me about 2 hours and that is with me never having worked on one of these cars before. The instructions are a bit too simple and leave out alot of things you will have to do to get the harness where it needs to be but overall it was still very simple. There is no splicing of wires or anything its all plug and play as advertised. The two hardest things to do is removing the glovebox and loosening the surrounding enclosure which was only about 6 screws and fishing the obd2 harness to the other side of the car through the console. Other than that it is a matter of finding the correct connectors and plugging the supplied harness inline. Programming is very simple just follow printed instructions. I would give 5/5 if the instructions were better but its still enough info to get it done. Also programming the module yourself is very easy and the product comes with a sheet telling you how to do it all you need is a PC and internet so dont worry about having to ship it back to get it done. Very good product to have if you want to get your car warm/cool before you have to get in.

Subaru plug and play remote start option

very simple installation, had to ship the module back to complete the install like the listing says and the turnaround on that was really fast. Maybe took a week to get to them and back to me, well worth having a cool car with a cool interior on these hot AZ days
