Hardest part of the install is finding a place for the brain box.

For some reason the remotes came pre programmed the range is great.
If I could change one thing it would be the auto relock of the doors that the OEM remote had if you unlocked the doors and didn't open them in like 90 seconds they would auto relock

Solid, easy install

Pretty easy to install, wires and harnesses were very cleanly made. A few steps were skipped in the instructions (disconnecting some buttons, unlatching gas tank and hood latches, removing a brace, etc) but otherwise were easy to follow and if you're mechanically inclines easy to figure out. I ended up tucking the box up behind the body fusebox, as instructions didn't really give any location they recommended putting it.

Only things I'm not super thrilled with is it removes the rear window down via your remote unless you strip and connect two additional wires (and even then car has to be running to use), and it has you install a hood switch with minimal instructions on that (i'm guessing most people skip that part, honestly..). So, not 100% plug and play, but like 96%.

The other thing I'd like to see is the inclusion of the troubleshooting information. I accidentally skipped learning the RPM step, and got an error when I tried to use it, and had to do a ton of googling to figure out what was going on.

Still 5 stars though, great upgrade.

Damn now my truck is worth alot more, a warm vehicle in winter is priceless, thank to yall my 4Runner is now priceless! Easy install awesome product

06 Limited 4Runner

Everything works as it should. I highly recommend this plug and play kit. It took me about 45mins to install/test/tuck/program everything and it works as advertised. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.

TIP: I'd highly recommend tucking the OBII connection behind the interior panel where the door connector boot is located. This will give clearance to the emergency brake.
