I installed this on my 2019 Tacoma DC OR. I decided to put the smart key door handle on the driver side rear door. I tend to open the rear driver side door first to put in my backpack or things I am carrying. The unlock works fine but for some reason I can’t lock all the doors using the rear passenger handle. It’s not a big deal because I can just touch the drivers side front door handle. I’m not sure if I did something wrong or the door handle specifically has to go on the front passenger door? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

I ordered this harness kit, and ordered the handle from toyota. Installation was simple and helpful. This is perfect when I have to get my mom into the passenger seat. My friends are like you didn't install this yourself. I said "if there's a will there's a way!". Needless to say I really love having this on my 2017 Tacoma.

This worked out great! Between the instructions provided and the youtube video, the install was a breeze. Great to be able to use the passenger handle to lock and unlock with a touch, just like the driver side. Our Subaru had this ability from the factory so we were instinctively trying to do it with the Tacoma from the day we got it and it was very frustrating. All good now! Great quality as well, as good as factory wiring and harnesses.
