Easier than expected

Installation took less than an hour. I've installed other remote starter systems and this was by far the easiest one yet. I love the fact that there was no splicing necessary. I highly recommend this product. Only downside is that placement of the module is critical. When I place it behind the cluster, car won't start. For now, I placed it behind the fuse panel.

Not too good to be true

I was skeptical about a true plug and play setup, especially since two different car shops in town told me that it would be $500+ for install for this specific make and model. When I came across a solution like this, it seemed too good to be true. I read the warranty and return information from this site, and it made it risk free, so I decided to give it a shot.

The only reason I dropped a star, is because it took over 1 week after processing my order for the product to leave their hands and start it's delivery journey to my residence. Literally, the only complaint. One of the reasons they mentioned was that all products are "hand packed" which I assume to mean hand made. I emailed the support email address numerous times throughout this interaction, and found that responses were always under 30 minutes, which is impressive.

When I got the product, the harnesses and wiring /wire management were to the same standard, if not better, than the factory wiring in the car. So "hand packed" was a lot less scary when I saw the product with my own eyes. The instructions were very easy to follow with only a couple minor errors, but nothing that prevented the install from completing. At the time of this review, this specific controller sent was the Compustar Firstech FT-DC3-LC for those that are interested. The only real hang up I had was getting the cluster out, the trick is to gently push the left side back into the cavity while bringing the bottom right of the cluster out first.
