Note: This is NOT a remote start. This kit is for vehicles WITH power locks but WITHOUT factory keyless entry. Meaning you have to manually lock/unlock your truck by putting the key in the door to unlock and don't have remotes.

Installation Overview

Install is simple 2 t-harness connections done at the driver under dash area. Only 1 optional wire to hook up for horn honk / panic function.

Easy install; good instructions

Install was easy as could be. Splicing in the blue honk wire requires microsurgery to accomplish. After a brief struggle, I realized you don't have to splice right next to the connector, so I slit the harness covering in a more convenient spot and spliced/soldered there. Nice instruction manual and the pictures helped. I have a high-mileage 2016 Tacoma SR with the utility package.

Took me longer

This kit is exactly what you are looking for. It took me longer because I'm old, but three broken fingernails and a band aid later I got it done, so I'm very proud of my bravery. It is best, I think, if you remove the threshold and kick plate so you can better argue with the lower dash panel. I kind of wonder why the kit doesn't have a Scotch-Lock though. Soldering the horn wire was not fun.

So easy even I could do it

The install was super easy. I do have some general automotive knowledge but it was still really easy and it works good. No problems, the remotes seem to be well built and they have a very good range. I strongly recommend this product.

Great Accessory

I have a 22 Tacoma SR 4x4. It didn’t come with a keyless entry. Accessorides wiring harness was first class. Easy installation and works perfectly!! Great Product! Would highly recommend it.
